To ask the President of the Local Government Board what is the total amount that has been specially raised from the more wealthy districts of London and transferred to the poorer districts in relief of their rates under the Act of 1893 for the greater equalisation of rates in London.

(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) The net amount levied and distributed under the London (Equalisation of Rates) Act, 1894, up to 31st March, 1907, was £3,289,152.
