FARRELL (Longford, N.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he will state why it is that the Estates Commissioners are not taking action to acquire that part of the grazing lands of Monedarrah or Stokestown, offered to them by Mr. James W. Bond, D.L., Farragh, County Longford; if he can state the number of applications received for a share of this land; and will he request the Commissioners to proceed with the matter as soon as possible.
§ MR. BIRRELLThe Estates Commissioners inform me that, so far as they can trace, the lands in question have not been offered for sale to them, nor have they had any correspondence on the subject.
