HC Deb 21 July 1908 vol 192 cc1709-10
MR. WILLIAM REDMOND (Clare, E.)

I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies what are the new arrangements for the sale of land in Fiji; and whether the Government will see that the rights of the natives to the soil of their own country will be safeguarded and respected in every way.

COLONEL SEELY

Papers will shortly be laid before Parliament which will, I hope, satisfy my hon. friend that the rights of the natives have been adequately safeguarded.
