MR. LEIF JONES (Westmoreland, Appleby)

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies if he will state the quantity and value of spirits imported into Southern Nigeria during each of the last ten years; the value of other commodities imported; and the proportion of spirits to the total imports (excluding goods for Government services) in each such year.

(Answered by Colonel Seely.) The complete figures for 1907 are not yet available. The figures for earlier years will be found in the "Statistical Abstract for the several British Colonies, Possessions, and Protectorates," published by the Board of Trade.
