To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether he can see his way to extend the age limit for retirement for workers not on the pensionable establishment of the Ordnance Survey in order that on retirement they would come within the scope of the Old-Ago Pension Act.

(Answered by Sir Edward Strachey.) The reply is in the negative. The arrangement suggested could not be adopted without considerable loss of efficiency and an increase of cost.
