HC Deb 13 July 1908 vol 192 c423
*SIR CHARLES W. DILKE (Gloucestershire, Forest of Dean)

I beg to ask the Prime Minister whether, in future arrangement of business of Supply in other sessions, he will bear in mind the concurrence of the two chief parties in the State in the wisdom of giving the House of Commons the opportunity of occasionally discussing Item E of the Treasury Vote, created expressly for that purpose.

MR. ASQUITH

It is, no doubt, desirable that such an opportunity should, from time to time, be afforded. My right hon. friend will remember that during the present session the Government gave a day for the discussion of Naval and Military Expenditure.
