HC Deb 13 July 1908 vol 192 cc377-8
MR. T. R. BETHELL (Essex, Maldon)

To ask the Postmaster-General if he will state the number of post offices and sub-post offices in the United Kingdom and the net revenue derivable therefrom; and if he will give this information separately with regard to the London postal district.

(Answered by Mr. Sydney Buxton.) Full information as to the number of post offices and sub-offices in the United Kingdom and in London is given on page 27 of the Postmaster-General's Report for 1907, That Report also gives the net revenue of the Post Office, but it is impossible to earmark any particular por- tion of that revenue as derived from particular offices.
