§ MR. FELLI beg to ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if the regulations to be prepared to carry out the provisions of the Old-age Pensions Bill will be laid upon the Table at an early date, so that if the Bill should be amended by the House of Lords there be will an opportunity of considering the whole proposals of the Government before they are finally dealt with.
§ MR. HOBHOUSEThe Regulations cannot, of course, be finally settled until the Bill has become law. When that has happened, they will be completed and laid on the Table with as little delay as possible. But, until the Bill has received the Royal Assent, I am not in a position to pledge myself to a precise date.
