I beg to ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can state the number of days during the year 1907, and the first six months of 1908 respectively upon which cable communication with British Guiana was interrupted.

I am informed that cable communication between Trinidad and Demerara was interrupted for thirty-one days in 1907 and for forty-five days during the first six months of 1908.
