HC Deb 09 July 1908 vol 192 cc85-6
MR. PATRICK WHITE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether, having regard to the number of uneconomic holdings on Kellet's Estate, County Meath, and to the fact that the vendor has refused to sell any untenanted land except that of the worst quality, which the tenants have absolutely refused to accept for the enlargement of their holdings, the Estates Commissioners will sanction the advance of money for the purchase of the estate.

MR. CHERRY

The Estates Commissioners have instructed their inspector to prepare a scheme for the allotment of the untenanted land which is proposed to be sold in this case, and until the Commissioners have received and considered the proposed scheme they cannot express any opinion upon the question raised by the hon. Member.
