HC Deb 09 July 1908 vol 192 c65
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any apology has been demanded from the Government of Persia for the disrespect shown to the British Legation at Teheran; and, if so, whether he can state the result.

SIR EDWARD GREY

An apology has been demanded from the Persian Government, and I understand that it will be forthcoming; but till it has been made in satisfactory terms the incident cannot be regarded as closed.
