HC Deb 07 July 1908 vol 191 c1471
MR. CLOUGH (Yorkshire, W.R., Skipton)

I beg to ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, whether a county council in letting land for small holdings under the Small Holdings and Allotments Act, 1907, can introduce a proviso that the Market Gardeners' Compensation Act shall not apply.

THE TREASURER OF THE HOUSEHOLD (Sir E. STRACHEY, Somerset, S.)

Yes, but there is an appeal to the Board of Agriculture.
