HC Deb 07 July 1908 vol 191 c1461
DR. RUTHERFORD (Middlesex, Brentford)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will state the latest Returns as to the recrudescence of cattle plague in Upper and Lower Egypt; and what remedial measures are being taken.

SIR EDWARD GREY

According to the latest Return, cattle disease existed at Alexandria and at twelve other places in the Consular District of Cairo. The question of what remedial measures are being taken is one which concerns the internal administration of Egypt, and I have no information on the subject.

CAPTAIN CRAIG (Down, E.)

Has the right hon. Gentleman any returns as to the recrudescence of cattle-driving in Ireland and what remedial measures it is proposed to apply?

[No Answer was returned.]
