§ MR. LEHMANN (Leicestershire, Market Harborough)On behalf of the hon. Member for the Devizes Division of Wiltshire, I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War whether a communication has been received from the Wilts County Council, asking whether any land on the War Office Estate in the Salisbury Plain area will be made available to meet the demand for small holdings in that district; and, if so, what answer has been sent.
§ MR. HALDANEThe possibility of making certain War Department land near Bulford available for small holdings has been under consideration, and it is hoped shortly to make a definite offer to the Wiltshire County Council of an area in that district.
