HC Deb 06 July 1908 vol 191 c1211
MR. NIELD (Middlesex, Baling)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer if it has been decided that four millions sterling are to be obtained by reducing the new Sinking Fund from ten and a-half millions to six and a-half millions sterling.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) The Sinking Fund portion of the fixed debt charged for the current year is estimated to amount to £9,785,000. There is no intention of reducing that amount in the current year.
