HC Deb 06 July 1908 vol 191 c1219
MR. B. S. STRAUS (Tower Hamlets, Mile End)

To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the county of London, the appointment of the pensions committee is to be made by the borough councils or the London County Council.

(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) As the Old-age Pensions Bill now stands the pension committee would in London be appointed by the London County Council, and not by the Metropolitan borough councils.
