HC Deb 01 July 1908 vol 191 c755
MR. HART-DAVIES (Hackney, N.)

I beg to ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he is yet in a position to grant to the police the same privilege as is accorded to postmen, of fourteen days leave in the year.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE HOME DEPARTMENT (Mr.) GLADSTONE, Leeds, W.

My hon. friend will be aware that a Select Committee appointed to consider the question of granting a weekly rest day to police forces is now sitting. I am not, therefore, prepared to answer the Question until that Committee has presented its Report.
