HC Deb 27 February 1908 vol 185 c56
LORD R. CECIL (Marylebone, E.)

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education what is the total number of non-provided schools in England and Wales in single-school areas; which of them are held by trustees upon tight trusts; and to what denominations such schools belong.

MR. MCKENNA

I am preparing a Return, which will shortly be laid before Parliament, giving the names of all schools in single-school parishes as defined in Clause 3 (6) of the Education Bill. So far as is possible, the Return will indicate the nature of the religious instruction at present given in the school, and whether the school is held on "limited trusts" as defined by the Bill.
