§ Mr. LAURENCE HARDY (Kent, Ashford)To ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he can now state the reference and the composition of the Select Committee on the Hop industry, which he offered during the debate on the Address, as the need for prompt action is extremely urgent.
(Answered by Mr. Asquith.) I am not able to make a statement at the present moment, but I hope that my right hon. friend the Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasury will be in a position to move for the appointment of the Committee at an early date.
