HC Deb 24 February 1908 vol 184 c1367
Mr. CATHCART WASON (Orkney and Shetland)

I beg to ask the Secretary for Scotland if whaling companies will be notified that if they infringe the rules and regulations made by the Fishery Board, especially as regards killing whales within the forty mile limit, their licences will be forfeited.

THE SECRETARY FOR SCOTLAND (Mr. SINCLAIR,) Forfarshire

The issue of the licences will be subject to the proviso that the Whale Fisheries Act, 1907, must be complied with in every respect. A copy of the Act has been sent to the representatives of each company, and they are therefore well aware of the regulations to be observed.
