§ MAJOR ANSTRUTHER-GRAYI beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any report has reached him with regard to the recent disturbances at Tabriz.
§ SIR EDWARD GREYAccording to the latest report received from His Majesty's Charge d' Affaires at Tehran, a fight broke out at Tabriz on 17th January between the revolutionaries and some roughs. Fighting lasted for two days, and twenty people were killed or wounded. Intermittent fighting continued until the end of the month, when cavalry and infantry were posted in the town to keep order, and tranquillity was restored.
