§ MR. COURTHOPETo ask the President of the Board of Trade, whether pending the Report of the Select Committee on the Hop Industry, he will take steps temporarily to safeguard British hop-growers against the action of the Pacific Coast syndicate.
(Answered by Mr. Lloyd-George.) As I have already informed the hon. Member, I have not yet heard whether such a syndicate as that to which he refers has been actually formed. I cannot recommend that any action should be taken in the matter.
