To ask the President of the Board of Trade, whether he will instruct His Majesty's consuls at Portland, Oregon, and other places on the Pacific Coast, to keep him informed as the progress and action of the Pacific coast hop-growers' syndicate.

To ask the President of the Board of Trade, whether Chinese and negro labour is employed in the cultivation of hops on the Pacific Coast of America; and how the wages of such Chinese and negro labourers respectively compare with those paid to hop pickers and others employed in the industry in this country.
