HC Deb 14 February 1908 vol 184 c294
MR. COURTHOPE (Sussex, Rye)

To ask the President of the Local Government Board whether, in view of the intention of the Government to introduce general legislation on the subject of the milk supply, he will move Instructions to the Committees on all Private Bills containing milk clauses that such clauses be struck out.

(Answered by Mr. John Burns.) It does not seem to me that the course proposed could well be adopted. I think that the best plan will be that the clauses should for the present be retained, on the understanding that they will be subject to reconsideration at a later stage in the event of a Public Bill being passed.
