HC Deb 13 February 1908 vol 184 c175
MR. W. T. WILSON

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty whether the workmen who lost their tools in the fire that happened at the Royal Dockyard, Portsmouth, on 12th November last, have had them replaced; and, if not, is it the intention of the Admiralty to make good the loss sustained by the workmen.

(Answered by Mr. Edmund Robertson.) The payment of compensation on account of the losses in question has been authorised, and the amounts awarded will be paid to the claimants in due course.
