WEDGWOODI beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board whether his attention has been called to the Report on the Rating of Land Values in Queensland; and whether the Valuation Bill mentioned in the King's Speech will include provisions for the separate valuation of land and buildings; and, if so, when he proposes to introduce it.
§ MR. JOHN BURNSMy attention has been called to the Report referred to in the Question. The proposals of the Government on the subject of valuation will be explained to the House when the Bill is introduced. I am not able at the present time to fix a date for its introduction.
