§ MR. WILLIAM REDMONDI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland how many evicted tenants have been restored to holdings in county Clare up to the end of 1907; and how many evicted tenants remain to be dealt with in the same county.
§ THE CHIEF SECRETARY FOR IRELAND (Mr. BIRRELL,) Bristol, N.Up to 31st December, 1907, the number of evicted tenants in County Clare who had been reinstated in their former holdings or provided with new holdings, was eighty; and the number remaining for whom the Estates Commissioners propose 1546 to provide holdings, if possible, is fifty nine.
