HC Deb 10 February 1908 vol 183 c1394
MR. J. P. FARRELL

To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that Mr. James W. Bond, D.L., of Fanagh, county Longford, has expressed his willingness to sell the untenanted grazing lands of Asnagh Tully, Ardagullian, and Strokes-town, all in the barony of Cranard, North Longford, comprising some 4,000 acres of land, if asked to do so; and will he direct the attention of the Estates Commissioners to this matter, and that negotiations may be entered into for the acquirement of this land for the relief of congestion in North Longford.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The Estates Commissioners inform me that they will now approach Mr. Bond in regard to the sale of the untenanted lands referred to in the Question.
