WEDGWOODTo ask the Secretary to the Treasury with reference to the grants in aid made to certain Crown Colonies, whether, in view of the gradual progress towards financial solvency of most of those Colonies, notably Uganda and certain of the West Coast Colonics, and in view of the now achieved prosperity of others, notably in Asia, he will arrange that all future grants in aid are in the nature of loans, so that the British Treasury may ultimately recover capital and interest.
