HC Deb 06 February 1908 vol 183 c1094
MR. RAWLINSON (Cambridge University)

On behalf of the hon. Member for the Hoxton Division of Shoreditch, I beg to ask the Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that a small body of men designated temporary clerks, who have been employed in certain departments of His Majesty's Civil Service for a period of fifteen or twenty years, have been given notice to retire; and whether, in view of the fact that these men will not receive pensions, and that their salaries have not been subject to any increment, he will state the amount of bonus which will be awarded to them for their long services.

THE FINANCIAL SECRETARY TO THE TREASURY (Mr. RUNCIMAN,) Dewsbury

I have nothing to add to the Answer which I gave the hon. Member to this Question on the 20th August last.
