HC Deb 05 February 1908 vol 183 c879
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that the Waterford Board of Guardians have dismissed from their service Mr. Thomas Scully, C.E., for having given professional evidence at Waterford quarter sessions in connection with a claim for damages resulting from the explosion at Glenaheiry Lodge; and whether the Local Government Board have acquiesced in this action of the guardians.

MR. BIRRELL

The Local Government Board have made inquiry on the subject of this question, and have been informed by the Clerk of the Waterford Union that the Board of Guardians have not dismissed Mr. Scully from their service.
