HC Deb 04 February 1908 vol 183 c724
MR. FETHERSTONHAUGH (Fermanagh, N.)

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether it is intended to introduce any legislation during the present session to give effect to the Report of the Commission on the Irish Poor Law Administration, and in particular to deal with the grievances of the Irish Poor Law medical officers.

MR. BIRRELL

It is the intention of the Government to introduce legislation to amend the Irish Poor Laws, but I cannot hold out any hope that an opportunity will arise during the current session.
