HC Deb 03 February 1908 vol 183 c525
MR. HART-DAVIES (Hackney, N.)

I beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board if the Board allows corporations and other local authorities to vary subsequently the conditions on which loans have been raised in the public market by such authorities; and, if so, under what Act.

THE PRESIDENT OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT BOARD (Mr. JOHN BURNS,) Battersea

The Local Government Board would not sanction any arrangement that would have the effect of varying the conditions on which a loan had been raised by a local authority unless the variation was made with the consent of the lender.
