MACVEAGHTo ask Mr. Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that the Law provides that in Ireland a person is eligible for the franchise even though he his received medical relief in a workhouse hospital; and whether he will, for the guidance of pension officers in Ireland, state That claims for old-age pensions should not be 2240 opposed on the ground that he has received relief of that character.
