To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he has yet received from Mr. Gerald Balfour the estimates for the cost of purchase of Irish railways by the State, and the cost of guaranteeing dividends to the shareholders for the State working and control of the railways, which Mr. Gerald Balfour, when Chief Secretary for Ireland, obtained from Mr. Thomas Robertson, late chairman of the Board of Works, Ireland; and whether he will give the figures.
