To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether any further steps have been taken during this year to assimilate the shipping laws of Guernsey and Jersey to those obtaining in this country.

(Answered by Mr. Secretary Gladstone.) The law officers of Guernsey are at the present time in Jersey holding a conference with the Jersey law officers upon the subject.
