DILKEI beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will cause full information to be obtained in regard to the nature of the punishment, if any, inflicted upon European agents of the Kasai Company now under arrest; and if he will take the earliest opportunity of laving before the House the Report of the British Consul on his visit to the region affected by the charges.
§ SIR EDWARD GREYWith regard to the first part of the Question, I am asking His Majestys' Consul at Boma for information, I hope to lay before Parliament 1574 in the course of next month Mr. Thesiger's Report on his tour in the Kasai district, and other papers respecting the condition of the natives in the Congo State.
