MR. OWEN PHILIPPS

To ask the Secretary to the Admiralty if he will give instructions to His Majesty's cruisers when next they are in West Indian waters to make a trial docking in the new floating dock at Trinidad in order to satisfy the Admiralty of its utility for naval purposes.

(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) The Rear-Admiral commanding the Fourth Cruiser Squadron has already been directed to report on the suitability of the new floating dock at Trinidad for naval purposes, and further steps will be considered on receipt of that Report.
