§ MR. PIKE PEASE (Darlington)I beg to ask the Secretary of State for War if he will state what are the powers of the Small Arms Committee with regard to improvements in small arms or ammunition.
§ MR. HALDANEThe Small Arms Committee has no powers with regard to improvements of small arms or ammunition. It is merely an advisory Committee to consider questions referred to it and to report what is recommended. Expenditure of money cannot be incurred by it without authority.
