§ MR. REDDYI beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is aware that Shannon Bridge, King's County, and the property of Lord Ashbrooke in the neighbourhood, has been sold to the tenants; and seeing that Shannon Bridge is one of the most peaceful places in the world, can he say why the local police force has been increased by five constables.
§ MR. BIRRELLI understand that the property referred to has been sold to the tenants. Part of the district attached to the Shannon Bridge Police-Station is in Roscommon and part in King's County. The latter portion is peaceful, but it has been found necessary to strengthen the station by the addition of five men belonging to the Roscommon force for duty in that county.
