To ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland what was the number of persons receiving constant police protection and special protection by patrols throughout Ireland on 30th November, 1908.

(Answered by Mr. Birrell.) The number of persons receiving constant police protection on 30th November last was seventy-nine, the number receiving special protection by patrols on the same date was 272.
