HC Deb 14 December 1908 vol 198 cc1223-4
MR. FIELD (Dublin, St. Patrick)

To ask the Vice-President of the Department of Agriculture (Ireland) whether he can state why the Returns relating to the wages paid to labourers throughout Ireland, and hitherto included in the annual Returns of agricultural statistics, have been excluded from the annual Returns for 1907.

(Answered by Mr. T. W. Russell.) The statistics as to the wages paid to agricultural labourers throughout Ireland in 1907 were published this year in the Department's Report and Tables relating to Irish Agricultural Labourers 1907–8, as it was considered more useful that they should appear in this Report than, as heretofore, in the agricultural statistics Returns.
