HC Deb 10 December 1908 vol 198 c717
MR. COURTHOPE

To ask the hon. Member for South Somerset, as representing the President of the Board of Agriculture, what steps have been taken by the Board of Agriculture to prevent the spread of contagious mammitis.

(Answered by Sir Edward Straehey.) The Board are informed that there is no evidence to show that the disease to which the hon. Member refers is epizootic in character, or that it is prevalent to any considerable extent. This being the case, the Board do not propose to schedule it for the purposes of the Diseases of Animals Acts.
