HC Deb 10 December 1908 vol 198 c733
MR. SUMMERBELL

To ask the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies if he is yet in a position to state the result of his inquiries as to the balance of opinion in Trinidad in regard to the importation of indentured coolie labour into that island; and, if so, can he state what action he intends to take in regard to indentured coolie labour, in the Colonies.

(Answered by Colonel Seely.) I regret that I am not at present in a position to give any further information to my hon. friend, but I will do so, I can assure him, at the earliest possible moment.
