KENDAL O'BRIEN (Tipperary, Mid.)I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland if he can state the number of appeals under the Labourers (Ireland) Acts to the County Court Judges in respect of each rural district since 1st November, 1906, showing the number disallowed and the number of cottages and plots covered by such appeals, the number of such cottages and plots approved of and the number disallowed, with, if practicable, the reasons assigned by the County Court on 765 the objections to cottages and plots so disallowed.
§ MR. BIRRELLThe orders made by the County Courts on these appeals do not disclose the grounds on which the decisions are based. I have no objection to granting a Return of the other particulars asked for the period from 1st November, 1906, to 1st November, 1908, if the hon. Member will move for it.
