JESSE COLLINGSI beg to ask the President of the Local Government Board if he will state the number of births and the number of deaths which took place in the United Kingdom during the year 1906 and the year 1907, thereby showing the natural increase of the population in each of the two years named.
§ MR. JOHN BURNSThe number of births in the United Kingdom in 1906 was 1,170,622, and of deaths 681,343, giving an excess of births over deaths of 489,279. In 1907, the figures were: births, 1,148,573; deaths, 678,822; giving an excess of births over deaths of 469,751.
