§ MR. MACKARNESS (Berks, Newbury)To ask the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he will state the number of capital ships now in commission in the navies of France, Russia, Germany, and Great Britain respectively.
(Answered by Mr. McKenna.) I am not aware what interpretation my hon. friend places upon the term "capital ships." The number of first-class battleships now in commission is as follows:—
