I beg to ask the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the wholesale destruction of the elephants in the Lado enclave will give rise to claim for waste and damage to that territory on the termination of the lease to His Majesty the King of the Belgians.


In the event of any proceedings which are likely to injure the leased territory permanently, representations will be made at Brussels.
