HC Deb 03 December 1908 vol 197 c1698
MR. LONSDALE

I beg to ask the Chief Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland whether he is in a position to give particulars of the attack made upon a police patrol at Gurteen, County Gal-way, on Saturday night, by a party of armed men in ambush; what injuries were inflicted upon the police; and how many arrests were made.

MR. BIRRELL

Two arrests were made in this case, and the prisoners have been returned for trial. The case is, therefore, sub judice, and it is not desirable to enter into particulars.
