§ MR. MILDMAY (Devonshire, Totnes)I beg to ask the President of the Board of Education whether, under Clause 2 of the Elementary Education Bill, it is 1261 intended to provide for the right of entry in single-room schools in the country districts.
§ THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY TO THE BOARD OF EDUCATION (Mr. TREVELYAN,) Yorkshire, W.R., EllandYes, Sir, if it is administratively practicable. I do not think it is possible to lay down a hard and fast rule, applicable to all single-room schools; but large numbers of these schools are already provided with partitions, screens or other means of separating classes, or are otherwise suitable for the conduct of two or more classes.
§ MR. ASHLEYHow is the right of entry to be effected in such cases?
§ MR. TREVELYANasked for notice.
